Armed robbers held up a convenience store in Barnby Dun, South Yorkshire. One man reportedly brandished a pistol and the other a crow bar. After threatening staff, they escaped with cash in a stolen vehicle.

Someone reportedly shot at three police officers in Mitcham, south London. Police arrested a 19-year-old and charged him with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life as well as possession of an illegal weapon.

As one man allegedly threatened her with a gun, another punched her in the face before the men fled with cash and a mobile phone. The woman was treated in hospital for her injuries.

A man allegedly pulled what was believed to be a shotgun on a group of teenagers in Church Crookham, Hampshire. The incident apparently happened when one of the boys stepped in front of the man's car, at which point the driver got out and retrieved a gun from the boot of his car. The teenagers reportedly ran off without any shots being fired.

Police arrested a man in Todmorden, West Yorkshire after enduring a siege that lasted nearly three hours. Officers, who were executing a search warrant on the residence, reportedly recovered three air weapons from the home and arrested a suspect on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm.

A cat had to have its eye removed after apparently being shot with a catapult in Salisbury, Wiltshire. The pet had a lead pellet lodged in his eye that was larger than an airgun pellet, and a vet speculated it was from a catapult.
