Bolton News

Louis Larsson has been jailed for five years for possessing firearm parts and reactivation equipment.  The UK Border Agency had intercepted two parcels which had been sent from Canada and the USA and contained parts for a Colt self-loading pistol.  Other gun parts were found at his home in Bolton, Greater Manchester.  He admitted ordering the items and adapting previously deactivated Colt 45 semi-automatic pistols he had bought from a militaria shop in Portsmouth.

A cat has been shot with a rifle in Conderton, Worcestershire.  He was left with a large hole between his shoulder blades but came through an operation to repair the damage.  His owner has suggested that poachers were to blame.

A former racehorse was shot in the neck with an airgun in a field in Goldthorpe, South Yorkshire.  A pellet was lodged two inches deep into his mane.

A shop assistant was held at gunpoint and forced to hand over cash at a supermarket in St Leonards, East Sussex.  Two men, one wielding a firearm, were involved in the raid.


Oxford Mail

A cat is fighting for his life after being hit with 21 shotgun pellets in Cassington, Oxfordshire.  He was found slumped by the back door and an examination and x-ray showed the pellets lodged inside his body and head and also revealed a fractured leg.  Only six of the pellets could be removed but he is making a miraculous recovery (Oxford Mail, 16 October 2010).

Gunmen on motorbikes fired shots at a property in Bootle, Merseyside.  No one was hurt but an upstairs window was damaged.

A sawn-off shotgun, drugs and stolen property have been discovered during a series of police raids in Brent.  The gun was found in Neasden, north west London.arrow
