Following an argument, one of two males on a stolen moped allegedly tried to shoot a third man with a handgun in Hackney, North London. Two days later, two people on the same moped pulled alongside a car and gestured for the occupants to wind down the passenger window. The moped pillion rider then brandished a shotgun towards the vehicle, whose driver managed to get safely away. The moped used in these incidents was found after police responded to a report of another moped being stolen in Bethnal Green. As part of their investigation, police officers recovered a shotgun, handgun, zombie knife and ammunition, and arrested a man and a teenage boy on suspicion of possession of a firearm and robbery.

An inquest has been opened into the death of a man whose body was discovered in the back garden of his home in Old Colwyn, Conwy in March this year. A shotgun was found underneath him. Following a post-mortem examination, a provisional cause of death was given as a firearm head injury. The man was a registered shotgun holder.
After police officers found Class B drugs, counterfeit money, a knife and a shotgun at his home in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Drew Archer-Loader was jailed for five years and four months having pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm, possession of counterfeit currency and possession of cannabis.
