A male and a female buzzard have been found shot dead on the edge of the village of Sproatley, East Yorkshire. They were discovered in a ditch with shotgun wounds to the wings and body by members of the public. The RSPB has offered a £1,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction.

A young man has allegedly been threatened with a gun at a property in Plymouth, Devon. The assailant appeared to have forced entry into the victim's flat where he was apprehended by the victim, who he threatened before fleeing from the scene.

Simone Larner has been jailed for four-and-a-half years for using an imitation handgun to threaten workers at newsagents in Stainforth, South Yorkshire. She threatened staff with the gun and demanded cash but fled with only £60 of tobacco when the victims were unable to open the till, and was arrested shortly afterwards.

A 39-year-old female shop owner and her assistant were attacked by two masked robbers armed with a gun at her store in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. They pointed the gun at the victim and marched her to the back of the shop but she was able to hit the panic alarm and the assailants escaped in a car with 30 packets of cigarettes. Police arrested two men in a vehicle in the town shortly after the robbery.

A man and a woman have been arrested and charged after a sawn-off shotgun and twelve cartridges were found in the roof during a drugs raid at their home in Walthamstow, east London. A large number of cannabis plants and cash were also discovered.

Two teenagers, aged 14 and 17, were assaulted by four masked burglars who broke into the house at which they were staying in Church, Lancashire. The group used a stun gun to threaten the victims and escaped with cash and credit cards from their wallets. No one was injured.
