Amir Hussain has been jailed for six years after he was caught driving with a loaded gun in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. Hussain reportedly had a revolver on him when officers searched his car, as well as a quantity of cannabis.

A man has been charged with three counts of possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate and one charge of possessing expanding ammunition. Police reportedly searched his property in Bloxwich, West Midlands and recovered between 50 and 70 rounds of ammunition as well as a replica firearm.

A 17-year-old was shot in the head and neck in Paddington, west London. The teenager reportedly was with three friends when they were assaulted by a group of men, who chased them and opened fire with a shotgun. The victim received treatment and reached a stable condition.

A man brandished a handgun on a street in an incident in Littlemoor. The gunman's friend first allegedly broke into a garage and fought a mechanic, who was able to thwart his attacker. But then the attacker's friend reportedly retaliated and eventually assaulted the mechanic and his friend with a handgun. Police quickly arrived and arrested the two perpetrators.

A man in West Lothian was arrested after he was allegedly found in possession of a sawn-off shotgun and ammunition. He was also reportedly accused of extortion and due to appear in court after being remanded in custody.

A cat was shot with an air gun in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, leaving him blinded in one eye. His owner was initially told the cat may have been hit by a car or have a tumour, but vets found an air gun pellet during an operation.

Zamir Aliaj has been jailed for six years after pleading guilty to supplying cocaine as part of a large-scale police operation targeting drug dealers in south London. The operation has resulted so far in 10 convicted offenders, as officers have recovered a handgun, a shotgun, ammunition, drugs and cash.

John Bravin, 22, has been jailed for two years after pointing an imitation gun at police officers in Edinburgh. Bravin apparently waved the gun at officers when they visited his home after a reported disturbance in July. When they entered his home, he was apparently intoxicated and lying on his brother's bed. When officers told him to get up, Bravin revealed the gun which he aimed at both constables. Bravin pleaded guilty to assaulting the officers by pointing the gun and to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.

David Williamson has been jailed for 10 months for possession of cannabis in Edinburgh. He reported to police that he had been robbed by four men at gunpoint, informing them that his cannabis plants had been stolen. Officers apparently then searched his house and found a further 20 plants.

Two armed men attempted to rob a post office in Tulse Hill, south London, bursting in as a mother and her two-year-old child were nearby. One man reportedly pointed a gun at the woman and child, as the other set the counter on fire. However, the employees refused to hand over any cash and the mother and child escaped uninjured. The raiders then fled on foot empty-handed.
