Robert Thomas, a 23-year-old farmer in Brynamman, was convicted of carrying a loaded shotgun into a public place. Thomas, who does not possess a shotgun licence, was arrested after being spotted driving with the gun in his truck. He was granted a 12-month conditional discharge.

Police arrested a man in Leicester and charged him with five counts of robbery or attempted robbery. The man allegedly used a ball-bearing gun, a replica of a semi-automatic pistol, to rob three men in Anstey, Leicester, after attempting to rob different victims 48 hours earlier.
